2025 got off to a flying start for PitchIn Platform. Hot on the heels of last year’s Cricket Innovator award from the Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Foundation, our co-founder Alex Fitchett was highly commended by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) at the National Cricket Collective Awards.

The recognition, given for “incredible dedication and outstanding contribution to community and cricket,” is a huge honour, and a testament to the real-world impact of the PitchIn Platform on local clubs nationwide.

“It’s incredibly humbling to be recognised at this level,” said Alex. “Helping grassroots clubs not just survive, but truly thrive, has been a personal mission. This recognition is a reflection of the hard work so many clubs and volunteers are putting in every day.”

PitchIn Platform continues to be at the heart of that transformation. Designed to help clubs simplify and supercharge their fundraising through 100 Clubs, sponsorships, raffles or events, it gives teams the tools they need to raise more money with less hassle.

Kegworth Town Cricket Club, where Alex volunteers, is a shining example. They managed to double fundraising last year using the platform. It’s a model we’re seeing replicated across the country, as more clubs adopt digital tools to make a lasting difference.

And the best part? This is just the beginning. With exciting new features planned for 2025, our goal is clear: make fundraising effortless for every grassroots club in the UK.
